 A. Do you know that report cards have become a controversy? Have a look at the text below to get a clearer information!     Some schools are giving parents report cards. Every five weeks, parents get a grade on whether their children are doing their homework, on whether the kids are absent too often, and on whether the kids are suitably dressed for school    Some people think it is a good idea. For one thing, a report card would get parents involved in their children’s education. That mean kids would do better in school. Further, a report card might also let parents know what the kids are doing well-and what they are no doing well. It would help them be better parents. Finally when parents get good grades, then they will feel rewarded-just like their kids.     On the other hand, some people don’t think it is necessary. A. Previously, we have discussed how to differentiate between phrase and clause. Now, to refresh your memory,  the following exercise needs to be done. Decide whether the following are clauses or phrases and then specify the Subject an Verb! For example: the children yelled  - clause  ( the children: SUBJECT, yelled: VERB ) into the room  - phrase (NO SUBJECT AND VERB) 1. arriving at the store 2.
